"HUMPTY-DUMPTY."
To-morrow night Mr J. C, Williamson's Pantomime Company will' appear at the Theatre Royal. "HumptyDuiupty" is tho result of a journey round the world, made last year by Mr J. C. Williamson, when he gathered together stage effeots from England and America. The result is described as a succession of appealing artistic pictures, a splendid unison of illusions, harmonious ballets and pageants, and a remarkable manifestation of the mechanists' art. Chief among the realisations of the last-men-tioned is a dazzling stage picture designated cl The.Hall of Ten Thousand Lights." Another feast of colour' is provided in the coral ballet, where some beautifunl opalescent effects arp obtained by gradations of colour tone. The dancing and groupings take place on the floor of the ocean, and the opportunity for stage illustration is one that is fully availed of by the scenic painter. The artists appearing m the production include Messrs Bert Gilbert, Harpy Shine/ Victor Loydall, Queen and Le Brun, George Young, C. Howard, N. Easty, Misses Mabelle Morgan, Irene. Dillon, Olga Grey, Nance Maher, Prissy Preston, and Beatrice English. The l>ox plans ar# at the Dresden.
