"DAFFODIL AT HOME."

A "Daffodil At Home" is being held m the Whiteley Hall this afternoon and evening. There is a splendid show of spring blooms. Extensive displays are made by Mrs Vickery and Messrs Duncan, Morshead, Frethey and Gibson. Mrs C. Webster has sent a bloom of the Australian national flower, the Waratah, for exhibition. The winners of the competitions were as follows : — Tables. — Mrs Jno. Gibson 1, Miss Black 2, Mrs Frethey 3. Baskets. — Marjory McGahey 1, Mrs Jno. Gigson 2, Mrs Frethey 3. Mantles.—Miss Black 1, Mrs Fre-tlie-y 2, Mrs Gibson 3. Buttonholes.-— Master^Alf. Whittam 1, Master Ronnie White 2, Eileen McGahey 3. To-night the Whiteley Orchestra will play at the Show.
