KAPONGA COMPANY.

The report of the Kaponga Dairy Company which was adopted at the annual meeting on Monday, showed that 10,687,4451bs of milk had been received, represented by 413,0501bs but-ter-fat, from which 463 tons 14 cwt cheese had been manufactured; 10.31 b& milk going to lib cheese, and the average test being 3.8. For butter-making 4,883,0781bs milk had been received, represented by 198,9811bs butter-fat, from which 97 tons 15 cwt butter had been made; 22.71bs milk went to lib butter, the average test was 4.0, and the overrun 10.

The balance-sheet showed that £27,318 15s lOd was received for cheese sales, £10,370 6s 5d for butter, and £435 4s 3d profits from Taranaki Freezing Works shares. Chief items of expenditure were : Milk £27,653 13s Bd, ocean freight and charges £3359 2s 2d, salaries £2004, depreciation £1471 6s 9d.

It was resolved that the Company should be registered under the Co-oper-ative Dairy Act 1907. Messrs Chas. Bates (re-elected) and Alf . Tait were appointed to the directorate.
