YOUNG MAN DROWNED.

DUNEDIN, August 18. An oil launch capsized at the mouth of the Catlins River yesterday. One of the occupants, Alfred Bates, got ashore with difficulty. He found it impossible to rescue his companion, Thomas Murray. Murray was drowned and his body has not yet been recovered. Deceased was 22 years old. He leaves a widow and one child* residing -at Ahuriri.
