ASSOCIATION RULES.

W. V. Willis, late referee, certifies.^ ed under the Surrey County Association, writes: — "I should like to know through the medium of your columns if there is any club or association in New Plymouth for Association football — also if there is ,a Referee's Association. Having been -out in the colony only a short time, and lately coming to New Plymouth, I have not noticed any reports referring to Association Football in your paper. It is a game of very ancient origin,, and, so „ wonder^ fully popular }n England,' especially perhaps London, that it has been a great surprise to me that -there is not some notice in the papers concerning it. As I understand .the season' is now coming on I should feel greatly oolige«| if you could spare a space., in you^ columns if there is not any association* or club in a town like New Plymouth surely there are many wTmv would join. For I am sure it is a game/- full- of. interest, not only to the players, but to spectators also.
