SHORTAGE OF WHEAT. By Electric Telegraph. — Copyright. (Received April 14, 8.55 a.m.) LONDON, April 13. The quantity of wheat and flour afloat for the United Kingdom is 3,985,000 quarters; for tho Continent 2,920,000 quarters; Atlantic shipments 95,000 quarters; Pacific shipments 30,000 quarters. Renter's agent states that tho stocks of wheat in the country elevators of Canada amount to only 2,500.000 bushels, as against 19,00Q,000 in 1907.
