Pearce and famfly^ and i^ie Duggah family. ~ Mr. Pearce could not attend on , account of his health, and the Duggan /family did not attend ; but MVi Juiy and the others who did attend had a good night. The hall was fairly wefl filled. . ■ The Rev,. Mr. Fisher held a religious gathering with: a. show of pictures on Wednesday night. ♦We have had the threshing macnihe here. Jt was kept moving threshing frpm daylight until darlc during the firie weather. , ' Xhe county /storte crusher is hard at it at the Timaru. The driver expects to complete iihat contract by Saturday night. Mr. Fi', f SoTe is pushing on with ,the Oaknra deviation. No doubt when he has finished at the Timarja he will put tin more teams of men there.
