— ♦ i . Per Press Association. 7 WELLIItfG^ON, March 30. k An unpleasant wind: blew across the polo grounds to-day, when the New Zealand Association's tournament was continued. Despite the conditions, the play was fast an,d keen. The remaining two matches in the first round for the Saville cup and one game in the second round were played. Results: First round. — Hawke's Bay heat Wellington A by 9 goals to 5. Johnston played a splendid' game for Wellington, the local men were not so well mountpd. For Hawke's Bay N/eilson scored three goals, jmd Bennett, and •Russell "two 'eaoh*. 'For " Wellington the scorers were Grace (two), Clarke, Johnston, and Williams. Mangaheia beat Fern Flats by Bto 2. Fern Flats were easily outclassed; though at times the play was fast and furious. Tho hitting of the losers was weak. Second, rounds— *Hangitikei beat Manawatu by sto 4. This was a very closely contested game right to the finish, all tho players riding and hitting with great spirit.
