In the fina,l of the pairs games of the carnival bowling tournament, Bull andGates 22 beat Dean and Ta bateau- 17.
It is a- coincidence that D. A. Millar, who played in the winning rink (St. John's) in the rink tournament, W. J* Tabuteau, who skipped the winning rink for the citizens' matches, and W. C. Yates, who played in the winning rink in the pairs matches, were all schoolmates at the Napier Grammar School in the early days. ATJCKLAND, March 28.
