In the House of Commons Mr T. H. 'Sloan's Registration of Irish Clubs Bill was read a second time.

It is more drastic than Mr Asquith's Bill. It provides that no liquor shall be supplied for consumption off the premises of a club; that no visitor nor honorary member residing within seven miles of the club premises . shall be served wfth drink during prohibited hours; and that the rigjht.pf entry and of inspection shall be given the police. ■During the debate, Mr T. W. Russell, member for South Tyrone, indicated that, the last-mentioned clause required amendment.
