HELP FOR THE STRIKERS.

WAIHI, March 30. ' At a special meeting of the Waihi, Miners' Union held to consider the question of giving financial assistance to the BlackTjall Union, it was unanimously resolved to levy Is per member during the strike. It was also resolved that a copy of the following resolutions should be sent to the Minister for Labour: "That the Arbitration Act requires amending in the direction of, placing employers on the same footing as employees; that tho Union ba» no confidence in the President of tho Court." " The number of members of the Waihi Union is one thousand, so that the levy produces £60 a week.
