NEWTON KING'S REPORT.
M* !NYivton King reports:-— At Douglas, on Monday, there was » good yarding and good competition for nearly all classes. Very few lines were unsold. Calves made 11s 6d, steer, calves 213, 18-month heifers 34s to 425, 12 to 18-month steers 395, store -cows 29s to 405., forward £2 16s to £3 ss, fat £1, F.M. ewes 5s lOd. At Stratford, on Monday, cattle were yarded far in excess of advertised mimbers. There was a large attendance, put bidding was quiet for nearly all classes. A good many lines were passed in. <Guod kteer weaners mad© 15s to 215,! mixed weaners 11s 6d, yearling heifers ,23s 6d, 18month steers £2 Sn, 2 to 2j-years £2 10s. store cows 30s to 40s, forward £2 7s 6d to £3 10s, bulls £1 5s I to £4 3s, F.M. ewes 4s 6d.
