WELLINGTON, July 4.

The dead body of James McEnerney, aged 47, a labourer, was found to-day hanging by the neck from a tree in Newtown Park. Decoased had been out of work 3t)d in ill-health.

NELSON, July 24.

By the collapse of a scaffolding at Moller's new building in Bridge Street this afternoon three men were injured. A workman named Knapp was working on the scaffolding when a bearer snapped and part of the scaffolding fell with him, he beinjj; slightly hurt. S. Galbraith, the contractor, and a workman named Mausen were on a ladder at the time, and they were struck by the falling material and knocked to the ground. Mausen fell about twenty feet, but was not much hurt. Some sheets of iron fell on Galbraith, cutting him badly, i
