The dead body of James McEnerney, aged 47, a labourer, was found to-day hanging by the neck from a tree in Newtown Park. Decoased had been out of work 3t)d in ill-health.

NELSON, July 24.

By the collapse of a scaffolding at Moller's new building in Bridge Street this afternoon three men were injured. A workman named Knapp was working on the scaffolding when a bearer snapped and part of the scaffolding fell with him, he beinjj; slightly hurt. S. Galbraith, the contractor, and a workman named Mausen were on a ladder at the time, and they were struck by the falling material and knocked to the ground.
