UNKNOWN SCOW ASHORE.

AUCKLAND, July 24.

Captain McManus, of the coastal steamer Kawau, which arrived in port to-day, reports that when passing Pakiri, about 44 miles north of Auckland, near Point Rodney, ho observed a scow ashore. She had all sails set. It was impossible to make out the name, and the identity of the vessel has not yet been ascertained.
