CROWD SPOILS THE WICKET.

INCENSED AT DELAY.

LONDON, July 24. The crowd at Lords became incensed owing to the delay in the match Middlesex v. Lancashire. The delay was due to the wetness of the ground. After hooting in front of the pavilion and demanding to be paid back their admission money, the people invaded the wicket and damaged it so seriously that MacLaren, tho Lancashire skipper, refused to continue. Tho match was abandoned.
