CHAIRMAN'S. REPORT.
The Chairman reported that the following appointments had been made : - Lepperton, Miss Ballantyne, temporary I cad teacher until Mr Brown took up - his duties ; Opunake, Miss R. Stitt, temporary assistant during Miss Bent'? absence on sick leave; Central, Miss M. P.ollinger, in place of Mr Sullivan (resigned) ; Whangamomona, Miss Bartlett, temporary teacher in place of Mr Wilson (resigned). The matter of clearing a track enable Mr Brown's children to attend Hurford Road School had been considered, but he could not recommend the Board to do this work. Ho pointed out that a track was cleared to the Carrington Road School at Mr down's request about twelve months ago to enable his children to attoml tho school. The report was adopted.
