DRAUGHTS.
The draughts tournament promoted by a few enthusiasts has grown to considerable dimensions and promises to be a most successful gathering. Already over fifty town v and country players have entered, fourteen for the first grade, sixteen for the second, and twenty for the third. These figures will be still further increased, as -the Committee has decided to accept post entries. The townspeople have subscribed very liberally towards the prize funds, and five prizes will be allotted to each grade. The tournament will commence to-mor-row afternoon at 2 sharp. Players are requested to bring their boards. After this gathering it is proposed to hold a meeting to consider the formation of a | draughts club. Onlookers will be welcome.
