Great Britain, were played yesterday. The results were : — N- H. Brookes (Australasia) beat A. W. Gore (Britain), 7—5, 6—l, 7-~5. A. Fi Wilding (Australasia) beat H. Roper-Barett (Britain), I—6,1 — 6, 6—4,6 — 4, 6—3, 7—5. , . . . (The contest is. .for the . best , of five matches — four singles, and one double.
