AN EXCURSION.

A train 1 with 800 excrtrsionists'at Pere Parquette, on the railway near Salem, Michigan, dashed into a freight train coming in tho opposite direction. Six of the totala of eleven cars were destroyed. - ' 'Thirty-five- people- -were killed: Scores were injured, and of these many are in a critical condition.
One hundred and fifty children were among the excursionists.. A few of them wore severely hurt, . The victims are mostly men.
