NEW YORK, July 19.

The heat wave had seriou.s effects at Philadelphia. The Benevolent Societies were holding a procession, 10,000 people taking part. Over 300 were prostrated by heat. Twenty-five died; fifty are not expected to recover. The hospitals are full. Many horses have been killed.
