Owing to the revised estimate of wheat stqeks placing the Oklahoma, Kansas, and Texas combined winter yield at fifty million bushels, compared with 111 million bdshels last year, a sensational advance has occurred on the I American markets, tremendous covering by "shorts" taking place. September wheat jumped at Chicago from 94§ cents, to 100, and at New j York from lOlf to 106.
