Sir Henry Campbell-Bannernian (Leader of the Opposition) moved an amendment to the Finance Bill, condemning: the large and continued increase in tho national expenditure. He declared that apurt from the expenses of the Boar v.arlhc orainary expenditure hod increased 28s 4d per head. Since 1895 the cost of the fighting services has increased by forty millions sterling. He denounced the Government's clap-trap about Imperialism. Tho tlcbnto was adjourned. Commoners exhibited but little interest in tho discussion.
