" Marrying and giving in marriage is the order of the day in neighbourhood of Egmont Village for tht mpnth of June. Three wcdcliugs haVe already been celebrated and others are *'on the cards" or shortly will be, as soon as the printer, obtains the necessary particulars. j On Whit Monday Miss Elsie Price, fourth daughter of Mr R. Price, was married to Mr J. A. Carr of Albert Road. The ceremony took place at Mr Price's residence in the presence of a large number of goiests who at iihe kind invitation of Mr and Mrs Price had assembled for the occasion. The hapfpy coufple were the i*ecipients of a number of presents, both of them being very popular in the district. On the Wednesday following, the 3r#. of ' June, a well known identity , of the village Mr Leonard Thomson took unto himself a better half in the person of Miss Mabel Allen formerly of Tariki, but more recently of Egmont .Road. The we'd ding which took place lat the Anglican Church, at Tariki, , where the bride's relations resicle, was ] solemnised by the Roy J. Thomas. After the Ceremony the friends of the bride and bridegroom were entertained by Mr and Mrs Allan. Mr and Mrs Thomson on arrivinp- at their future residence, a<J joining Kgrnont Village were serenaded by the Village hanfcl, Which hafcl been amply recruited for the particular • occasion , avkl which if not altogether harmonious had at least ifae merit of being thoroughly eiitihkiaiaslic. They were rogakjcl on a liberal scale and heartily cheered their matrimonial entertainers before dispersing. Mr and Mrs Thomson carry with them in their connubial bliss the hearty good 'wishes of the community. On Thursday the 11th Jrtne Miss Christina Mfan'dt °* Lemper Road and; Mr George Peterson formerly of Lopper Road but now of Mangatoki were united in th& bonds of holy matrimony. the ceremony Mr and Mrs Mjulidt dispensed hosfpitaliiy to the many friends who had assembled to wish the newly married pair goofc! luck.
