The Pursuit of the Kenniffs.

Received May 27, 10.42* p.m. Brisbane, May 2/7 .(—lt is reported from Mitchell that a, party of police surprised the Kenniffsi on Friday. They were camped on 1 , the edge .of -a big scrub; and were almost cordoned when the fugitives espied the police and' escapbd to the bush. Having no black trackers the police were unable to follow; but captured the Kenniffs' horses, saddles, and a quantity, of ammunition. Subsequently two horses were stolen in the district. The Kenniffs shot a horse just as the police came up. The captured horses' nrc those in connection with which Dalke and Doyle were pursuing tho Kenniffs. Besides a lai-ge quantity of revolver and rifle cartridges! the police secured a stock of food^
