E. H. Stevenson.
♦ On Thursday next Mr E. Hi. SteVenson, a lecturer and entertainer 1 who has appeared hhroughout Australia and the Southern towns of j New Zealand, will appear at WhiteI ley Hall. Mr Stevenson's enter- . tainment is highly spoken of and we are assured that the large series of animated pictures which he exhibits comprise entirely new subjects. The following extract from the Federal Standard (N.S.W.) speaks for itself, "The pictures are the most magnificent ever placed on public view. Mr Stevenson is one of the foremost platform speakers of the day." This is high praise indeed. Personal. The Waitara Mail says that Mr Thos. Colson, in the employ of Mr McMahon, TJrenui, was taken suddenly ill on Friday evening, and on Saturday, his condition not being altered, was removed to the New Plymouth Hospital.
