Buckland & Sons report that at Remuera on Thursday cows at profit brought from £4 7s 6d to £8 each. Store cattle sold freely. Fat and young calves were in short supply, but were better worth. Fat cattle in average numbers and firm at last week's quotations. Steers and heifers, from £1 to £1 3s lOOlba ; aged cows, 16s to 18a; steers ranged from L 7 to Lll 7s 6d; cows, L 4 to.LB 17s 6d each. The sheep and lamb pens were> well filled; wethers sold from 14s to 18a; ewes, 9s to 15s 9d: lambs, 9s to 12s 6d; ; for well fatted lighter sorts 6s -9d to 8s each. Pigs sold at late values.— The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report as follows: — Cattle: At the Newmarket yarda on Tuesday fat stock sold at fully last week's values; oxen made from 21s to 24s pet lOOlbs; cows, 17s to 20s; fat steers sold \ from L 6 toLIO 7s 6d; cows, L 3 15s to L 7 12s 6d; dairy cows, L 4 5s to L 7 7s 6d; store cows, L 2 11s to L 3 14a. Sheep were in barely average numbers, and sold at* improved rates, from 12s 3d to 16s 9d; ' eweß, 9s 6d to 15s; two-tooth store ewes, 13s 6d; lambs, from 7s 6d to 12s 9d each.
