Hokse Stock, &i\ — Messrs Bucklsmd & Sons' report : — Horses : At the Haymarket on Friday hst draughts sold up to L 34 to L3B:"lii,'ht«r, L 25 to L 32; waggon and plough horses, LI 6 to L 24; hacks aud trap horses from LlO to L 18; aged horses and ponies, L 4 to L 9. Wool, Hides, Skins. &-c— Messrs G. W. Binney and Bucklands' reports that thes cleared extra large catalogue of hides, <src. Hides: picked stout sold from 6£d to 7^d; extras, sfd to 6d; stout, 4fd to 4|d; medium, *4d ; light, 3|d to 3fd : cow, good lines, 3fd; picked, 4d; seconds, 3£d to 3|d: kip r 3£dto4d:calf, 3d to sd; stags. 2Jd to 2|d per lb. Sheepskins: Pocal green, Is sd; lambs, Is 4d to Is 6d; country salted, Is to Is 4d;dry, 6d to 9d; well woolled, 2s to 3s 8d each. Tallow, picked, 20s: good in large casks, 19s to 19s 6d; broken casks and packages, 17s to 18s per cwt ; fat, l^d per lb. — Messrs Buckland & Sons report :— hheepskins: up to 3s lid each for best green ; the greater number 2s 6d to 3s 3d, and Is 8d to 2s 2d : for light pelt?, lOd *o Is 6d; Jambs, lOd to Is 8d each. Wool: In bags and dumps, cross-bred and Shropshire, 4d to sd; longwool, 3|d to 4Jd* pieces, 2d to 3d: locks, Id to 2d lb. Cattle, Sheep, &c. — Messrs A. Buckland & Sons report that at Remuera on Thursday cows at profit brought from £4 7s 6d to £8 each. Store cattle sold freely. Fat and young calves were in short supply, but were better worth. Fat cattle in average numbers and firm at last week's quotations. Steers and heifers, from £1 to £1 3s lOOlba ; aged cows, 16s to 18a; steers ranged from L 7 to Lll 7s 6d; cows, L 4 to.LB 17s 6d each. The sheep and lamb pens were> well filled; wethers sold from 14s to 18a; ewes, 9s to 15s 9d: lambs, 9s to 12s 6d; ; for well fatted lighter sorts 6s -9d to 8s each. Pigs sold at late values.— The New Zealand Loan and Mercantile Agency Company, Limited, report as follows: — Cattle: At the Newmarket yarda on Tuesday fat stock sold at fully last week's values; oxen made from 21s to 24s pet lOOlbs; cows, 17s to 20s; fat steers sold \ from L 6 toLIO 7s 6d; cows, L 3 15s to L 7 12s 6d; dairy cows, L 4 5s to L 7 7s 6d; store cows, L 2 11s to L 3 14a. Sheep were in barely average numbers, and sold at* improved rates, from 12s 3d to 16s 9d; ' eweß, 9s 6d to 15s; two-tooth store ewes, 13s 6d; lambs, from 7s 6d to 12s 9d each. Pigs: Porkers sold from 17s to 24« 6d; " weaners, 4s 6d to 7s 9d.
