•' "^AKAPUAKA, January 28. The statement in last night's press message that the Eastern Extension Cable Coy's repairing steamer She ard o>»borne ib at Hong Kong is inaccurate. Mr Browning, superintendent here, is advised to-day that according to latest iuforaialion froai the Superintendent at Batavia the Sherard Osborne is at Singapore preparing to proceed to repair the broken cables. Communication is expected to be restored at any moment.
