April 5. — Before landing at Kingstown the Queen asked for and wore a bunch of shamrocks specially plucked from the grave of St. Patrick. Her journey to Dublin was a scene of uninterrupted enthusiasm. Responding to the address presented by the Lord Mayor, on behalf of the Dubin Corporation, Her Majesty said she was gratified to revisit the Motherland of the bravo sons who had borne themselves in tho defence of the Crown and the Empire with a cheerful valour which had been equally conspicuous in the glorious past. Seceived April 6, 9.45 a.m. London, April 5. — The" Queen's journey from Yicfcria Wharf into Dublin, a distance of seven miles, was a scene of uninterrupted enthusiasm. The progress of the procession was one long triumph. In her reply to the address the Queen recalled the warmhearted welcome given her beloved husband and children on the occasions of other visits.
