A New South Wales Tragedy.
SENSATIONAL INCIDENTS. United Press Association. — By Electric Telegraph — Copyright. Received Apill G, 1.22 a.m. SVDXKY, April 5. — A tragedy occurred at Kempsey. A man named Lawson, Avith his Avife and infant, Avere spending the evening Avith a friend named Handcock. Lawson Avas playing the violin, Avhen Handcock seized a rifle and shot him. Mrs LaAvson rushed out, leaving the baby. The residents did not dare approach Handcock till the morning. LaAvson Avas found dead, but the baby safe. Handcock had gone. While the inquest Avas proceeding, Handcock Avalked into the room carrying his rifle. He did not resist arrest. Tho man is believed to be insane.
