Auckland, December 12 — Vn inquest was held to-day at the Hospital on Mrs Kate MaJigan, who died at 1113 institution under circumstances which necessitated an it-quiry. After hoa>iog the evidence, the jury returned a verdict to tha effect that the cause of death was acute blood poisoniDg through th 6 absorption into the blood of putrepoiiii\e matter, camed by tho rupluro of the uterus, and that the said rupture was dus ts an illegitimate act psrformod by Uia decoased upon herself for the purpr se of procuring abortion.
