Mr Bainbridge's Recital.
This evening Mr Bainbridge will recount his experiences by flood and field, including his ' arrest as a spy in Tuikey, 1 being ' lost in India,' and imprisonment in Russia. He will also introduce a pleasing variation in the form of lightning sketches. Mr Bainbridge's reputation as an orator and artist is highly commented upon, and an evening of much interest and pleasure is expected. His Worship the Mayor will present the prizes to the scholars for best letters written to Mr Bainbridge. The Sobart Mercury, speaking of his address, sajs.— "Our distinguished visicor"s lecture is not a dry discourse, but a most enjoyable recital of adventure, interspersed with sparkling humour and clever lightning sketches. '
