1 PROM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] ' In my Saturday's notes I mentioned that tho Waimate would be in last evening or early this morning. It should have been Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning. The third attempt to hold a meeting to carry on the athletic sports again proved a failure, only five putting in an appearance on Friday eveniug. As this was an improvement on the previous endeavours to rouse enthusiasm, those present thought it desirable thst another attempt should be made, and have decided to try and "gather them in" on Wednesday evening next.
