The Jliand Board meeting, held on Monday", was attended by the, Commissioner (Mr 'Strauchon), MesßW Stock, Coutts, and Heslop. Ifae lands applied for since last meeting were as follows :— See 47, block 3, Buiroa, W. Pardon, 13 acres; sec 4, block 14, Ngatimara, G. B. Moir wrote, on behalf of himself and other selectors of seca 1, 2, 3, 4, and 5, block 24, Ngatimara, and sees 12, 13, 14 and 15, block 2, Omona, for permission to pledge the "thirds" from those sections for payment of interest on a loan for forming Tututawa Road into a cart road.~-Tbe Board decided to inform the applicants that when the County Council has taken the necessary steps to raise the loan proposed, it will not place any objection in the way.
