ENGLAND. : United Press Association.-i-By Electric Telegraph— Copyright, ■ Received September 8, 1.50 a.m. London, September • 7. -*- In the fi>t innings of the team representing the Rest of England, Richardson, Hearne, and Hirst took 3 wickets each for 71. 46, and 67 runs lespectively. When Stoddart's first innings was continued, Hayward increased his score to 43 before being caught by Rhodes. Wainwright hit up 75, and was then caught by Brockwell. None of the remaining batsmen did anything of note. Nine of the team were dismissed by catches. Bhodes secured 7 wickets for 64,Kortwiight3forl04. In their second innings the Reßt of England made a disastrous start. Abel, Brockwell, Grace, and Townsend were dii-miseed for ciphers. Ford was injured by a ball from Richardson, and retired. Jes-sop scored 76 in 40 minutes. The fitldirjg of Stoddart's team was excellent. Received September 8, 0.55 p.m. London, September 7. —The Rest of England team in their second innings made 206 runs.
