Sydney, September 7. — The course proper at Randwick was open to-day, and a lot of work was put in, but owing to .the late rains the going was heavy, and there were no very fast gallops. Oban and Straghtjoy slipped over half a mile in 54£ sees, the former drawing away and beating his opponent* Point* less finished a mile in Imin 56sec. Almene put down Syerla in a good gallop over a mile, traversed in Imin 54sec. Paul Pry easily beat Bob Ray over a similar distance in similar time. Pharamond alone accomplished a mile in Imin 56sec. Woodlark and Gauleon had the call over Trycolor and Courage in a mile and a quarter spin apd wound up in 2min 28sec. Amberite, Fucile, and Cravat were ridden out once around occupying 2min 42sec, the mile having been left behind in Imin 58£ ; the two finished in great style, Cravat being half- a length in advance of Amberite ; with Fucile four lentrths away. Bona Fide beat Waihine once round in 2min 45sec. '
