Received' September 7, 7.15 p.m. Sydney, September 7.— In tbe Legislative Assembly, Mr Lyoe tabled a motion, ",'That, .in order not to hamper the Federal question by layiDg down condi .tions, the House empowers tbo Governs me"t to negotiate with the other colonies, including Queeusland, with a view to bringing about the necessary amendments in the Commonwealth Bill." The Premier said he accepted the motion as one of censure, and tbe House adjourned until to morrow.

Sydney, September B.— Mr Keid.states that Mr Lyne's motion is an invitation to enter the pathway of chaos. Once a partyfight is raked it will probably be pursued to the bitter end.
