Brisbane, September 14. — A tragic disaster has occurred at Moreton Bayv A party consisting of Fred> William, apd Harry Stayson, A JfclJab'e, Jt. McConnell, and Arthur Kimber went for a cruiser in the _2 footer _jenobia. Tbe vessel was struck by a squall at mid-day 'on Wednesday last when off Cape Moret6n. The sheet got jammed and the whole of the occupants were thrown into the water.
Kimber swam for the boy Harry Stayson, nearly sacrificing his own life. All the party regained the boat. The boy said he Wanted to see his mother) and the ether occupants lost heart;. The Stayson brothers died ia Kimber's arms within ten minutes of each other. MeOabe lost his reason and jumped overboard, and was rescued by Kimber, but died shortly afterwards. McConnell alto lost his reason and struck at Kimber with a pocket knife. Four of the occupants were dead by Thursday night. Kimber stock to the submerged boat, which drifted to Double Island, three milos from the entrance to Noosa River. Kimber's limbs were swollen and sunburnt, and he was slightly delirious, but is now doing well. B c clung to the boat all Wednesday, Thursday, Friday. Saturday, and Sunday without food or drink.
