fFHOM OUR OWN CORRESPONDENT.] The Leap Year ball came off in the hall last week. There were about 50 couples protect. Dancing was kept up with great vigour during the night, and thoroughly enjoyed by all. The music was supplied by the Waitara Band, of .whom Mr Bessant is bandmaster. The music was first-class, and greatly appreciated . Mr Levi Sarten brought up the medals won by the Tikorangi Rowing Club's champion crew at tho annual regatta. These medals wore to have been presented at a Bocial somo time since, but they were not then ready. The medals were presented to the members of the crew during the evening.

The public school broke up for the holidays on Friday last.
