Sir,— With due respect to our Hospital Surgeon (Dr. O'Carroll), I wish to convey my most sincere thanks to him for his undoubted skill and ability in dealing with such serious fractures as those from whioh I Buffered through a bush accident near Rahotu, and it has surprised all my friends that I have oomeout from hospital alive, and I attribute the whole to the surgeon's skill and the kind treatment and every attention that has been paid me by the nursing staff during the time I was an inmate. I have been in several other hospitals, and can speak in really better terms »f the New Plymouth inBtitution. — I am, &c, T. Gilroy.
