EXAMINATION OF HIGH SCHOOL.
CONFERENCE BETWEEN THE GOVERNORS AND TIIE EDUCATION BOARD. A conference between the High School Board of Governors and tho Education Board, relativo to the examination and inspection of the High School, was held at the Education Office this (Thursday) morning. The following were present : —Messrs J. B. Roy (chairman), W. Bewley, N. K. McDiarmid, C. F. Richmond, and Captain Cornwall, representing the High School Board of Governors •, and Miss Heywood, Messrs R. G. Bauchope (chairman), G. A. Adlam, W. Ambury, H. Faull, S. Hill, J. Mackay, and J. Wade representing the Education Board. After discussion the following understanding waa arrived at : —That the High School bo examined and iaspected annually by a duly qualified gentleman or gentlemen, to be selected by the High School Board at its discretion, and that the report of such inspection and examination be placed at the disposal of tho Education Board. On the motion of Mr Bauchope, sis chairman of the Education Board, seconded by Mr Roy, as chairman of tho Board of Governors, it was resolved that the above minute of the result of the conferenca be adopted.
