STAR FOOTBALL CLUB'S SPORTS. Webber, E. C. Morey. Boys' Race, 220 yds. —D. Callaghan, C. Webber, L. B. Webiter. Official Aandicap, 75yds. — F. Stohr, F. Buckley, R. A Gillespie. Bicycle, 1 mile. -A. George, A. C. Forbes, A. Woodhead. Bicycle, 3 miles. — A. C. Forbes, A. George, J. C. Morey. Several other events, including a tug of war, make up the programme. The Committee on Friday met on the Ground, and put up the hurdles, and marked off the distances.
The social in tho Alexandra Hall at night promises to be a most successful affair. BOWLING.-'HAtyEttA V. NEW £Li MOUTH. Soveral rihks from Hawera will visit here, and play a series of friendly games with members of the local Club. The following names of players have been drawn to meet theHawera players :—: — Jcnkinson, Cock, Gold water, Gray (skip) ; !J. Avory, "Webster, Ward, Sanderson (skip); Stuart, Knyvett,Woodhead, Veale («kip); Furlong, Archdeacon Govett, R. Bayley, McKellar (skip). Any of the players who are drawn and will be unable to attend are requested to notify Mr Hall without delay. The visitors will be entertained at a smoke concert at the Criterion Hotel on Monday night.
