AUSTRALIAN TEST MATCH. [PUK FKESS ASSOCIATION.] Sydney, itlarch 6. — A cricket match between the Australian rep. team and a team of Disconsolates began to-day Heavy rain fell last night. McDonnell captain of the Disconsolates, won the toss, and decided to bat. The wicket played well up to lunch, Lyons ana Bruce (the first two) making 23 and 36 respectively, tho former scoring 14 off McKibbin's first over. After lunch the wicket began to 6how signs of wear, and the remaining wickets fell fast. The following are the scoros :—: —
McDonnell's Eleven.— First innings: Lyons, c Darling, b Jones, 23 : Bruce, b McKibbin, 36 ; U. McLeo'd, b Eady, 3 • Coningham, c Jones, b McKibbin, 3; Hill, c Iredale, b Jones, 6 ; Worrell, c Donnan, b McKibbin, 10 ; McDonnel, c and b Jones, 1 ; Turner, c Giffen, b Jones, 13 ; A. Trott, b Jones, 10 ; Kelly, c and b McKibbin, 2 ; Howell, not out osundries, 10. Total, 117. McKibbin took 4 wickets for 60 runs • Jones, 5 for 30.
