AN ENERGETIC COLONIAL SECRETARY.
Mr Chamberlain is issuing a circular to Colonial Governments, asking for details of the extent of foreign imports from 1884 to 1894. Mr Chamberlain wishes to ascertain to -what extent foreign trade has displaced British imports, and why he expresses the desire to secure for British producers and manufacturers the largest possible share of mutual trade between the colonies and Great Biitain. WOOL SALES. A good selection was offered at the wool sales. Prices are unchanged. Continental buyers are competing keenly.
