In the [louse of Coumvms to-day, Sir W. Ilarcourfc will introduce a Bill providing for the principle of one-man-one vote in Parliamentary elections. The members of both parties aro greatly surprised at the early introduction of the mcnsuie, and its advent at the present stage is believed to point to a near approach of the dissolution. MOBILISING OF RUSSIAN ARMY. The Russian Government is preparing to mobilise the whole of the army and navy. All leave has been stopped among the troops in the Amoor region. THE TRIPLE ALLIANCE. London, April 30. It is reported that Germany ba3 proposed to Italy to prolong the Triplo Allianco for six years in view of the unsettled state of affairs in Asia. WHEAT MARKET. The cargo of Victorian wheat, ex Micronesia, resold at 25s Gd. WOOL SALES. The wool sales opened to clay with a catalogue of 13,905 bales. Tliore was n fair attendance, but the- lots offered prove! t 3 ba a poor selection, and competitiou was weak in the Home trade, the chief buyers (foreigners) doing nothing. Much of the wool offered was withdrawn. The good sorts were -about par with March prices ; inferior 5 per cent, below, N.Z. VESSEL ARRIVED HOME. Arrived : Fifesliire and Bankhall. STRATHERN TOWED TO LONDON The Strathern, from Ljrttelton, which put into St Vincent ' with the loss of three blades of her propeller, wil! bo towed to London and thus save the necessity of discharging her cargo. . TRADE IN RABBITS. A Hull firm hns offered to bny twenty thousand rabbits per week at Is Gid for lnrge size and sixpence for siualT, deliveries to begin in London at t'je end o? August. The firm is willing to sell on commission if that course is preferred.
