TURF ITEMS. The well-bred trotting stallion, Ebony (Blackwood Abdallah ox Duchess of York by Traducer) is advertised as at the service of breeders in this district. Full particulars as to travelling, fees, &c, can be gleaned from the card which appears in this issue. The privileges in connection with the Trotting Association meeting on September 27th will be sold at auction by Mr N. King at 11 o'clock to-morrow. The starting machine was used at Randwick for the first time on Saturday, when the Derby competitors were despatched through its agency on their 1J mile journey.
