DARING BURGLARY AT INGLEWOOD.
ADDITIONAL PARTICULARS.

May 8. — Further investigation into the burglary which occurred at Mr Julian's hotel on Saturday shows it was effected between the hours of one and two o'clock on that morning. The robber or robbers took the iron sufe through the front window. The most daring part of the busi ness was the breaking of the safe with a hate het on the footpath quite close to the hotel, and abstracting the contents. Part of the safe was carried a few yards further down tho Junction Road near to tlie Gymna* ,si am Hall, where it was found with some papers, two £5 notes, and some cheques Mr Julian had some valuable coins witn about £40 in cash, which were stolon The noise of hammering was he«rd by a young man who lives opposite the hotel, but he took no particular notice of it, not thinking that anything wrong was goingon. Mm Ju.'ian also heard some person walking about, but often hearing people moving in their rooms at night she did not tase further notice of it.
