April 26.— The annual meeting of householders was hold in the Waitara scho 1 en Monday evening. 'I he Rev F. T. Baker was voted to the chair. Mr Baker then called on Mr Pearce, Chairman of Committee, to read tho report and balancesheet, which were conpidered satisfactory. On the motion of Mr F. Bluck, seconded by Mr John Cameron, tho repoit and balance shoet were unanimously adopted. Mr Cameron moved and Mr Robinson seconded " That a hearty vote of thanks be given to tho Chairman and members of Committee for their exertions and interest in thd cause of education duriog tho paat year." Carri d.— Tho Roy F. T. Bakor proposed, and Mr Cameron seconded, | " That a hearty voto of thanks bo given the h ad teacher (Mr Mason) and his assistants for the care and zeal which have been displayed by them in obtaining such efficiency during the past year." Carried unanitnouslj'. The meeting then procooded to elect a new Committee for the ensuing year, when the following gontlomon were duly elected : Messrs G. Pearce, S. W. Nichols, W. Stoddart, 11. F. Joll, G. V. Tate, B. Kyle, E. Dugdalo. A voto of thanks to tho chairman concluded the meeting. The new Committee then mot, and on the motion of Mr Nichold, socon led by Mr U . V. Tate, Mr Pearce was unanimously ie elected Chairman for tt-ot t- o ensuing year
