April 25 — The following gentlemen were nominated today for four vacancies on the Moa Road Board. Albert Bishop, Joseph Brown, T. W. Corbett, H. A. Haverbier, Richard Langly, Frank Lerbkie, Joseph MsKay, Michael McMahen, Harry Peters, W. H. Rolinson, Ed. D. Wesmacott. Tho hulf-yearly meeting of the Moa Farmers' Onion was held on Monday for the purpose of hearing the :eport and balance-sheet read and other business. Mr Atkinson occup'ed the chair. Notice of motion was tabled to alter Rules 60, 97, 99, 100, and 108. A dividend of 8 per cent, was declared, and the sum of £40 carried forward. There ure 300 paid up ghares. Two guineas pre to be given in future for each halt-yeaily audit. Mr Price spoke at some length on the necessity of supporting the institution. He advised the members to try and induce others to join the Union. Mr Laingan-I some other members also spoke on several subjects. Mr Wakefield spoke a few words, which were to the point. The following are those elected as the new School Committee ; — Messrs Surey, Harding, McDonald, Lamb, Bennett, Edwards, M.Suthorlard.
