TURF ITEMS.
Mr J V.' Dingle's gelding Union Jack wob brought back from Auckland this (Friday) morning. In the Steeplechase at Ellersliejon Monday last Union Jack fell on th i hill in tho last round, his rider Crozier) sustaining a ricked knee in tho fall. In the Hurdles on the previour Saturday Union Jack ran fourth. The othor local l.orso Tattler was left behind for tho purpose of putting him up for sale, It not Fold it is understood that Tattler | will bo kept behind to coinplote at the [ Avondale meeting.
