Particulars have been received of a native attack on tho Wiileroo station, in the Northern Territory. It is statod that the station was completely looted, and Mr Scott, tho owner, had his head, arm?, nnd logs chopped off.

Melbourne, November 8.

The ship Drumbl&ir, which went ashore at Sandy LVnt, cast of Waratah Bay, on September 10th while on a voyage from Port Pirie to Newcastle, in ballast, has been floated off.

A man named Johnstons and a woman named Harding have been found on the banks of Lake Wandouree, Ballarat, suffering from bullet wounds. Mrs Harding and Johnstono recently eloped from Melbourne, and had decided to die together. The man firss shot himself, and then the woman herself. Johnstone is recovering, hit no hopes are entertained for Mrs Harding.

The run of the Mararoa from Wellingtan occupied 81 hours from wharf to wharf. Captain Chatfield was presented with a testimonial by the passengers.

There is a great rush for employment in the Broken Hill silver mines.
